Abiomur

We are a regional association that brings together a wide range of stakeholders interested in biotechnology in the Community of Murcia, including companies, associations, investors, financial institutions, public administrations, foundations, hospitals, clinics, universities, technology centres and researchers.

We focus on both the health and agri-food sectors.

Our goal is to be a strategic agent and catalyst for positive changes in politics and the economy that favour the development of the Region of Murcia biotechnological ecosystem. We are committed to using biotechnology to improve the quality of life, environmental sustainability and the generation of skilled jobs.

We seek science and innovation as an engine of sustainable economic development and social well-being.

Our main strategies to achieve this goal are:

Speeding up technology transfer and business growth: we promote knowledge transfer and collaboration between companies and the public sector to boost the growth and competitiveness of biotechnology companies in Murcia.

Fostering the innovative capacity and talent development of entrepreneurs and researchers: we support talent and creativity in the region by promoting programmes and resources for startups, entrepreneurs and scientists.

Facilitating the connection between ecosystem agents and international actors: we promote collaboration and networking among companies, institutions and research and development organizations, both regionally and internationally.
